He will be teaching English in Brazil starting in February, 2017. Regarding his decision to apply for a Fulbright scholarship, Jonathan says:
I want to venture further into my Hispanic heritage. The Fulbright grant will expose me to educational opportunities that will strengthen my cultural connection. The grant will provide an enhanced view of the world in which I want to make a difference.
Jonathan is from Richmond, VA and moved to Louisville two years ago as part of Teach Kentucky. He has been a Spanish teacher at South Park TAPP.
Jonathan is continuing a great tradition of partnerships between the University of Louisville, the Fulbright scholarship and Teach Kentucky–in the last four years, Teach Kentucky participants have received four Fulbright scholarships given to University of Louisville students and alums.
