Thanks for your interest in Teach Kentucky!
This is an application to the Teach Kentucky program. It is not an application for employment with a school district.
Teach Kentucky recruits, prepares, and supports individuals who want to become teachers in Kentucky through an alternative certification pathway.
If selected for the Teach Kentucky program, we will assist you with the next steps in the process, including applying for admission to one of our partner graduate programs for alternative teacher certification and applying to our partner school districts for teaching positions and placement.
Most Teach Kentucky participants begin the program in June and begin teaching in August. Some candidates may enter the program mid-year as appropriate opportunities become available.
Before You Begin
You do not have to complete your application in one sitting. The application will allow you to save your progress and securely return to complete it later.
To complete your application, please be prepared to upload:
• Unofficial college/university transcript(s)
• Current resume
• Cover letter
Teach Kentucky cannot fully review or process your application until we have received the required transcript(s).

Personal Statement
Teaching is more than simply a job. Teach Kentucky is looking for candidates who are passionate about becoming educators and who understand both the rewards and responsibilities of entering the profession.
Teach Kentucky participants begin their teaching careers while simultaneously completing graduate coursework toward teacher certification. This means taking on the responsibilities of a full-time teacher and a full-time graduate student at the same time.
