Paul Barnwell is in his thirteenth year working in the Louisville region’s public schools. He currently holds a hybrid educator role at Fern Creek High School, where he teaches English, facilitates a teacher leadership program called JCPSVoice, and is piloting the first credit-bearing, project-based learning class in the district, “What’s the Story?”

Paul Barnwell’s recent article, published this week in the Atlantic Magazine’s online edition, discusses the rising trend of personalized-learning software in public school classrooms. The proliferation of education technology causes Barnwell to think about how it impacts the role of teachers as well as classroom learning environments. You can read the full article here.
