Discovering a Passion for Education
Hannah Lipman’s journey to becoming a dedicated educator is nothing short of inspiring. Initially considering a career in healthcare, Hannah’s passion for education, especially in English, blossomed during her undergraduate years, leading her to switch her major to English and Gender & Women’s Studies. Her dedication and commitment to the field of education became evident as she embarked on a path that would ultimately lead her to make a significant impact in the lives of her students.
The Teach Kentucky Program: A Catalyst for Growth
Hannah’s story took a significant turn when she found herself drawn to the Teach Kentucky program. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a transformative chapter in her career. Through the Teach Kentucky program, she found the support and guidance she needed to align her academic pursuits with her goal of obtaining teaching certification. The program not only provided her with the necessary tools but also empowered her to flourish as an educator.
A Remarkable Journey in Education
Hannah’s journey in education is marked by her unwavering dedication and numerous accomplishments. Her experience as an autistic support aid across various schools and states honed her skills in behavior management and leadership within educational settings. Subsequently, she pursued a master’s degree at the Bread Loaf School of English, further enriching her knowledge and expertise in English education.
Impactful Contributions and Recognition
Joining JCPS Newburg Middle School in January 2019, Hannah made significant contributions as a teacher and a leader. Her active engagement in leadership roles, such as serving as a team lead, LGBTQ+ club sponsor, and co-coach for the cross-country team, showcased her commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Her dedication was acknowledged when she was nominated for the NYTimes Teaching Project and became part of the 20-21 cohort, a testament to her exceptional work in education.
Continued Growth and Commitment to Excellence
Hannah’s commitment to educational excellence led her to pursue a Master of Education in teacher leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. This further solidified her dedication to fostering academic growth and student success. Her involvement in her school’s literacy team and CIS/AIS turnaround team speaks volumes about her unwavering commitment to the betterment of her students and the educational community.

As Hannah looks ahead, her aspirations revolve around continuous growth as an educator and pursuing new leadership opportunities. With a vision of evolving into an AIC or resource coach, she aims to further her impact on students and fellow educators, exemplifying the spirit of lifelong learning and leadership.
